50 Years University Maastricht

Case study

The Maastricht University celebrated its 50th anniversary and wanted a dedicated website to bring the celebration to life. The website would showcase events, stories, and news while capturing the festive energy of the anniversary year.

Challenge

UM needed:

  • A dynamic website to highlight anniversary events, stories, and updates
  • A platform that reflects the celebratory character of the milestone year
  • A flexible structure to manage ongoing content throughout the anniversary program

Solution

I developed the website in Webflow in collaboration with Vandejong Creative Agency, who provided the design.

  • Custom Webflow development based on the design system by Vandejong
  • Interactive elements and micro-interactions throughout the site
  • Animated details such as confetti and motion effects to emphasize the celebratory theme
  • Responsive layout optimized for all devices

Result

The UM50 website became the central hub for the university’s anniversary celebrations, bringing together stories, events, and updates in a playful and engaging experience.
